Delivering much-needed raw materials and consumer goods
Dry bulk commodities such as cement, fly ash, slag, lime and ground limestone are important products needed by our nation’s builders and manufacturers. Daily, consumers drink the beverages, and use the glassware and paper products that we deliver. Hundreds of thousands of homes and buildings are constructed with the drywall, lumber and concrete our drivers safely bring to market. We take pride in what we do, and we do it well.

History
We started keeping people Connected in 1953 when we obtained a temporary operating certificate to
transport bulk cement for General Portland Cement Company, giving birth to Comcar, our present-day
parent company, by pioneering over-the-road transportation of cement. By 1958, CCC became General
Portland’s only carrier, changing forever how bulk cement was transported. Since that time, from
our headquarters in Auburndale, Florida, we have become Florida’s largest intrastate transporter
with 13 terminals in that state, as well as expansion to Georgia and Virginia with one terminal
base in each state.
Rooted in our Connected culture is our history, which is filled with successful expansion becoming the model for decentralized short-haul and/or regional carriers. Our terminals are found in some of our countries most beautiful and livable Florida towns and cities, such as Auburndale, Brookville, Crystal River, Fort Meyers, Jacksonville, Lowell, Miami, Mulberry, Newberry, Orlando, Palatka, Pompano Beach, Port Canaveral, Port Manatee, and Tampa, as well as Warner Robins in Georgia, and Williamsburg in Virginia.
Safety, ethical conduct, honesty, integrity and service make up the values that keep us focused on exceeding the needs of our customers, employees, stakeholders and communities. These values provide us a competitive advantage, making it easy for shippers to continue to employ our services and drivers to meet their long-term career objectives.
